Michael Prouty Memorial Park

Our town recreational park is now in its second year of use. It is located off Route 65 on Daylight Drive, close to the center of West Bloomfield Hamlet.

The Michael Prouty Memorial ParkThere are baseball and soccer fields plus tennis, basketball, volleyball courts. And for the little folks there is the playground equipment. All of this is complimented with a very nice pavilion with parking close by. Click here to view the layout. For family or group picnics, you should obtain a special use permit from the Town Clerk to reserve your time of use. The park is open for use during daylight hours only. 

October 23rd, 1999.  The Official Groundbreaking Ceremony.  In the foreground, from left to right - Councilman James Hagen, Councilman James Powers, New York State Senator Mike Nozzolio, Supervisor Charlie Domville, New York State Assemblyman Craig Doran, Frank Skip Prouty, Councilman Guy Ball.In 2002 and 2003 a summer recreation program was held for 5 weeks for the children of West Bloomfield who were between 5 and 11 years old. This was a free drop-in program 5 days per week 9:00am to 12:00pm. This program has been well attended.
